DIETMAR RUDOLF

Nato a Ulm/Donai, Germania, Dietmar Rudolf si agira sin dall’infanzia tra le pietre depositate nelle vicinanze del laboratorio di restauro nella piazza di Ulm, massi che venivano ulitlizzati per il restauro della grande cattedrale - è sempre lì, fantasticando con il pensiero di diventare uno scultore.
Il suo primo contatto con il mondo dell’arte comincia studiando ed aprendendo il lavoro di intagliatore di pietra e di scultore presso la scuola E. Weber, dove conseque il diploma di maestro intagliatore e scultore.
Contemporaneamente dal 1983 al 1986 è coinvolto con esperienze operative presso le scuole di Friburgo e di Mainz. Finiti questi apprendimenti, spenderà circa due anni impegnato nel servizio civile per la communità di Ulm.
Dopo 1990 lavora per dei lavori di restauro in delle antiche chiese, in specie per edifici gotici e romanici. Dal 1994 lavora quale maestro scultore presso "l’Ulmer Muenster", la cattedrale gotica che si caratterizza per avere la piu alta torre del mondo (alta 16153 metri).
Contemporaneamente lo vediamo attivo nella vita artistica tedesca.
Born in Ulm/Donau, Germany, during his childhood Dietmar Rudolf passed his time playing among the large stones stored near the restoration laboratory in the main square of Ulm, stones which would be used in the restoration of the great cathedral - he was always there, dreaming about becoming a sculptor.
His first contact with the world of art began during his studies in stonemasonry and sculpture at the E. Weber school, where he obtained his diploma as master stonemason and sculptor.
In this period, from 1983 to 1986, he undertook additional studies at occupational schools in Freiburg and Mainz. Upon completion of his studies he spent almost two years engaged in community service for the municipality of Ulm.
From 1990 on he worked on restoration projects for historic churches, particularly those from the Gothic and Romanesque periods. Since 1994 he has worked as a master sculptor on the "Ulmer Muenster", the Gothic cathedral which is characterized by the highest steeple in the world (161,53 meters).
He is also active in the German art world.
