MILOSLAV CHLUPAC

Miloslav Chlupác e nato nel 1920. Da 1939-43 ha fatto studi da scalpellino e dopo ha studiato scultura con Stinl e Wagner all’ Accademia di Belle Arti e Artigianato a Praga. Dagli anni 50 ha esercitato come scultore di libera professione a Praga, lavorando durante I mesi d’inverno anche come pittore e restauratore di sculture e "sgraffiti". Ha partecipato in molti simposi internazionali, tra I quali St. Margarethen/Burgenland (Austria), Ruzbachi Repubblica Ceca, Federsee (Germania), Krastal, Carinthia (Austria), Saarland (Germania), Grenoble (France), Villanyi (Ungheria), Mexico, e Portoroz (Slovenia). Grandi Sculture di Chlupác sono in mostra a Praga, Brno, Carlsbad, Kladno, Litvinor, M. Ostrava, Gottwaldov, C. Tesin, Saca, Klagenfurt (Europarc) e Salisburgo, ove ha creato una scultura per la Piazza dell’Universitá di Giurisprudenza "Toscana Tracto" nel 1992. Mostre individuali includono Praga, Brno e Vienna, il piu recente avendo avuto luogo a Vienna (1991) con numerosi nella Repubblica Ceca a partire da 1990. Co-fondatore del Simposio di Scultura in Pietra, egli ha insegnato alla Internazionale Sommerakademie di Belle Arti di Salisburgo nel 1987-88-91-98 e 2000, e nei corsi estivi del 1989 e 1990 in Saarbrucken, e, dal 1990, all’Accademia dello Spettacolo a Praga, dove abita. www.chlupac.cz/html/dedecek.html

Miloslav Chlupác was born in 1920. From 1939-43 he trained as a stonemason, and after the War he studied sculpture with Stinl and Wagner at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague. Since the 1950s he has freelanced as a sculptor in Prague, working during the winter months also as a painter and restorer of sculptures and sgraffiti. He has taken part in many international symposia, including St. Margarethen/Burgenland, Ruzbachy/Czech Republic, Federsee/Germany, Krastal/Carinthia, Saarland, Grenoble/France, Villanyi/Hungary, Mexico, Portoroz/Slovenia and Guanxi/China. Large sculptures by Chlupác are on show in Prague, Brno, Carlsbad, Kladno, Litvinor, M. Ostrava, Gottwaldov, C. Tesin, Saca, Klagenfurt (Europapark) and Salzburg, where he created a sculpture for the courtyard of the Toskanatrakt in 1992. One-man shows include Prague, Brno and Vienna (most recently in 1991); since 1990 he has exhibited frequently in the Czech Republic, and Schiele Centre/Cesky Krumlov CS (2001). He taught at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg in 1987-88, 91-98, 2000 and 2001, at the 1989 and 1990 summer courses in Saarbrücken, and, since 1990, has taught at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he lives. www.chlupac.cz/html/dedecek.html/
