ULRICH H. GRAUPNER

Ulrich Graupner e nato a Hof/Saale (Germania). Dopo il diploma ha fatto studi di biologia, pedagogia e politica, e piu tardi ha completato la formazione da libraio. Dal 1993 esegue lavori di scultura, tra l’altro nel 1996 nella cava di granito di Hallinden (Svezia) e nel 1997 nella cava di marmo di Untersberg (Austria). Nell’anno 2001 ha creato l’opera "ROT" per la mostra Ache 700 in Bergheim-Lengfelden (Austria). Nel 2002 fa seguito con "EROS", progetto (concetto?) per la piazza centrale di un quartiere di Amburgo. Progetti fotografiche, di scultura e musicali, creati in collaborazione con Susanne Tunn sono: Performance di apertura della mostra "166 Betten- PEACE AND NOISE", Hagen am Teutoburger Wald (Germania),1998 Uffico di Cultura, Nordrhein- Westfalen (Germania), Rent an Artist, "Towntrails", Rheine, 1999 (mostra e documentazione) "COR", Videoinstallazione ecocardiografica per la mostra "Ihr wart ins Wasser eingeschrieben", Hannoversch-Münden (Germania), 2000 Sia la musica, sia la fotografia hanno portato ad altri modi di vedere e alla fine hanno cambiato la vita di carriera. Dall’anno 2000 Ulrich H. Graupner lavora come scultore e fotografo di libera professione. Egli vive e lavora nel suo studio in Andalusia e nei posti ove realizza i suoi progetti.

Ulrich H. Graupner was born in Hof/Saale , Germany. After completing his university entrance qualification he studied biology, pedagogy and political science; later he trained as a bookdealer. Since 1993 he has been creating works of sculpture, among other places, in 1996 in the granite quarry of Hallinden (Sweden) and in 1997, in the marble quarry of Untersberg (Austria). In 2001 he created the work "ROT" for the Ausstellung Ache 700 in Bergheim-Lengfelden (Austria). He followed this in 2002 "EROS", a conceptual design for the main square of a section of Hamburg. Photography, sculpture and music projects which were realised in collaboration with Susanne Tunn entstanden are: Opening performance of the exhibition "166 Betten- PEACE AND NOISE", Hagen a. T.W., 1998 Kulturbüro Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rent an Artist, "Towntrails", Rheine, 1999 (exhibition and documentation) "COR", eco-cardiogramme video installation for the exhibition "Ihr wart ins Wasser eingeschrieben" (You were written into the water), Hannoversch-Münden (2000) Both music and photography led to new ways of seeing and finally to a change in his professional life. Since 2000 Ulrich H. Graupner has been working as a freelance sculptor and photographer. He lives and works in his studio in Andalusia and in the places where he is realising projects.
